Serial cables between components.
Classification: Industry news
Time: 2025-02-07
Summary: Definition 1: A wire made of one or more mutually insulated conductors and an outer insulation protective layer, used to transmit electricity or information from one location to another.
Definition 1: A wire made of one or more mutually insulated conductors and an outer insulation protective layer, used to transmit electricity or information from one location to another.
Definition 2: It is usually a rope like cable made up of several wires or groups of wires (at least two per group) twisted together, with each group of wires insulated from each other and often twisted around a center, with a highly insulated covering layer on the entire outer surface. Cables have the characteristics of internal electrification and external insulation.
Classification
Cables include power cables, control cables, compensation cables, shielded cables, high-temperature cables, computer cables, signal cables, coaxial cables, fire-resistant cables, marine cables, mining cables, aluminum alloy cables, and so on. They are all composed of single or multiple wires and insulation layers, used to connect circuits, electrical appliances, etc.
Cables can be divided into DC cables and AC cables according to the system of photovoltaic power plants. They are classified according to their different purposes and usage environments as follows:
1. DC cable
(1) Serial cables between components.
(2) Parallel cables between groups and between groups and the DC distribution box (combiner box).
(3) Cable between DC distribution box and inverter.
The above cables are all DC cables and are commonly laid outdoors. They need to be moisture-proof, sun proof, cold resistant, heat resistant, and UV resistant. In some special environments, they also need to be resistant to chemicals such as acid and alkali.
2. Communication cable
(1) The connecting cable from the inverter to the step-up transformer.
(2) The connecting cable from the step-up transformer to the distribution equipment.
(3) The connecting cable between the power distribution device and the power grid or users.
This part of the cable is an AC load cable, which is commonly laid indoors and can be selected according to general power cable selection requirements.
Model number
Composition and sequence
The model composition and sequence of wires and cables are as follows: [1: Category, purpose] [2: Conductor
Body [3: Insulation] [4: Inner protective layer] [5: Structural features] [6: Outer protective layer or derivative] [7: Usage features]
Items 1-5 and 7 are represented by pinyin letters, while polymer materials are represented by one letter of the English name, with each item consisting of 1-2 letters; The sixth item consists of 1-3 digits.
Common code
Usage code - not labeled as power cable, K - (control cable), P - (signal cable);
Conductor material code - not labeled as copper (can also be labeled as CU), L - (aluminum);
Internal protective layer code - Q - (lead sheath), L - (aluminum sheath), H - (rubber sheath), V - (polyvinyl chloride sheath), the internal sheath is generally not labeled;
Outer protective layer code - V - (polyvinyl chloride), Y - (polyethylene power cable);
Derivative code - D - (non dripping), P - (dry insulation);
Special product codes - TH - (wet tropical), TA - (dry tropical), ZR - (flame retardant), NH - (fire-resistant), WDZ - (low smoke halogen-free, enterprise standard).
Omission principle
The principle of omission in the model: Copper is the main conductor material used in wire and cable products, so the copper core code T is omitted, except for bare wires and bare conductor products. Bare wires and bare conductor products, power cables, and electromagnetic wire products do not indicate major category codes. Electrical equipment wires and cables, as well as communication cables, are also not listed, but sub category or series codes are specified.
The seventh item is marked with pinyin letters after "-" for various special usage occasions or additional special usage requirements. Sometimes, in order to highlight this item, it is written earlier. Such as ZR - (flame retardant), NH - (fire-resistant), WDZ - (low smoke and halogen-free, enterprise standard), TH - (used in humid and hot areas), FY - (anti termite, enterprise standard), etc.
