The cables are typically color coded in red and black to indicate positive and negative connections, helping users correctly connect the batteries of two vehicles. The clamps are designed with strong spring pressure and conductive metal teeth that securely grip the battery terminals, ensuring stable electrical contact during the jump starting process. This design allows current to flow efficiently from the charged battery to the discharged battery.
